They can look weird on camera and mess up the lighting. Also, they can cause your skin tone to look strange or discolored. Anything metallic or shiny may reflect strange in the camera as well. Just be aware and pick simple things. However, patterns can be very interesting on camera. Don’t think you have to wear just solid colors because patterns can help “pop” you visually since there is more to look at on screen.
