Objects:

‘Objects’ are just things like street signs or litter.

We use objects in b-roll to help establish the world of the video, adding texture and breaking up the visuals so it’s not all you, which can start to get visually repetitive.

Activities:

‘Activities’ feature the performer in the world.

Footage of you just “being” – either talking or pretending to talk to someone off-camera, walking down the street, looking out a window, etc. – so that the audience can see you as a person and not just a performer. It brings a more genuine, “real” vibe to the footage and the video. You’re not just a rapper or performing artist – you’re a person too. Your followers will be fans of the person you are and the performer you are – remember that.
