How To Figure Out Who You Should Invest The Most Time In For Network Growth
You only have so much time in a day. So, it is very important that you make sure you are spending your time investing in the right people for the quickest growth. I recommend you like and comment on people’s pictures/videos on Instagram for at least two months. You will be able to gauge their reaction to you by seeing if they respond or not.
You will remember the people that interact with you every time. Don’t worry if they don’t at first, after a month, they should start responding if you make sure that your comments are ones that they need to respond to. When I notice people not responding to me, I take note, but I keep commenting even if they are smaller.
Over time, if I notice and remember that they aren’t responding I stop wasting my time trying to be nice. I hit them with a direct message trying to see if they will respond and if they read the message but don’t respond, I unsend the message, I unfollow them, move them to the ‘Non-Responders’ folder and let someone else have my valuable time.
People who don’t value your time and won’t do something as simple as respond are dicks. I respond to every single person who talks to me because I respect people and the fact that they took their time to leave a comment. I’ve done it since Myspace and I will continue to do it until I die.
Personal connection is extremely valuable, and I believe in growing a fan base one person at a time. Then, over time, it grows exponentially. You also need to be on the lookout for people that truly look like they are doing things. Who is the most ambitious? Who can you see is really out there hustling? Who do you see has the stamina to really make it in their industry. Building relationships with people who will be big later is much easier when they are smaller.
