Simile

A simile is another type of comparison between two things but, this time, you use the words “like” or “as” to relate the two things.

Simile is more popular and less serious than metaphors. If you’re saying something is LIKE something else, it’s less intense than saying they ARE that thing.

Get it?

The school library is LIKE a mountain of books.

The Art show is as colorful AS a rainbow.

The homework pile was as big AS a blue whale.

– Basic Simile Examples

I’m about to hit your city LIKE Bin Laden’s on the plane.

All I see is green LIKE I’m walkin’ around with night vision.

I’m goin’ ‘in’ LIKE I’m pigeon toed.

I’m hot and LIKE cheap shoe strings, you really (k)not.
